Outrigger Scaffolds

1. Make sure outrigger beams are:


  • securely braced at the fulcrum point to prevent tipping.
  • secured in place to prevent movement.


2. Make sure the inboard end of outrigger beams.


  • tension members secured to the floor joists underfoot.
  • both braced struts or tension members.
  • braced struts bearing against sills in contact.


3. To prevent their displacement.


  • Verify scaffolds and scaffold components.
  • constructed and loaded in accordance with that design.
